This year’s event built on the success of the Isle of Man’s first ever maritime industry-led conference in 2024 by providing a unique, high-profile platform for professionals and decision-makers to come together in an open, collaborative forum.
The conference featured a series of presentations and fireside chats with experts focusing on topical issues, including contributions from Lee Clarke, Isle of Man Maritime Managing Director, and Dr Rachel Glynn-Williams, Managing Director of Seaways Psychology Services.
In addition to being a bronze sponsor, members of Ørsted’s Mooir Vannin Offshore Wind Farm project team took part in the conference programme by means of a fireside chat. Richard Watson, Technical Director, and Emma Toulson, Head of Stakeholder Relations UK, shared some detail related to the Mooir Vannin project, especially focusing on maritime aspects. In addition, they also discussed approaches to supply chain and skills development with some examples of how this has evolved in some of Ørsted’s other locations.
The conference was supported by a number of Isle of Man businesses and organisations with an interest in the maritime sector.
