Orsted take part in Sustainable Mann workshop

It was part of Sustainable Mann, a UNESCO Biosphere Isle of Man initiative designed to help organisations from the public, private and third sectors gain the knowledge and skills they need to reduce their carbon footprints and become more energy efficient.

The workshop inspired delegates to work through some models of the innovation process, as well as looking at a scenario and innovating solutions in smaller groups. Emma Toulson, Ørsted UK’s Head of Stakeholder Relations, enjoyed getting fully involved in the session and was also a member of a discussion panel at the end of the event. The discussion included approaches to innovation within Ørsted, in addition to panel discussions about innovation within their businesses and organisations.

Emma said: “It was such a privilege to be asked to be part of this session by Earthscope.  The session was thoroughly engaging and enjoyable. I really loved hearing different and new perspectives as well as meeting many representatives from other organisations, working towards more innovative and sustainable practices. Innovation is very much at the heart of what Ørsted does and so it was great to have the opportunity to share some of our approaches with others on the Island too.”

The Sustainable Mann series was delivered by Earthscope (a nature-positive social enterprise based in the Isle of Man) and supported by private sector sponsors.
