Mooir Vannin Offshore Wind Farm presentation at Ramsey Probus Club

The presentation – by Richard Watson, Technical Director for the Mooir Vannin Offshore Wind Farm – included a summary of the potential benefits. This covered direct benefits such as financial and energy security, and indirect benefits such as new business and job opportunities for the Isle of Man from the construction of the first offshore wind farm within the Island’s territorial seas. He also gave an overview of the likely technologies to be included within the wind farm.

Richard thanked Ramsey Probus Club members for their interest in the project, and for the opportunity to give the presentation.

Ramsey Probus Club was founded in 1982. At that time its aim was to provide a regular meeting point for local retired business professionals to promote social wellbeing through companionship and discussion. Today, the club organises regular lunches and invites guest speakers to talk about issues of local interest.
