The two-day, annual educational initiative created practical experiences designed by local businesses to ignite interest in STEM careers. Twenty-five companies and organisations took part by hosting fun, interactive exhibits and hands-on activities in three key zones dedicated to engineering and construction, science, and technology, and maths. Each one offered the opportunity to apply STEM principles to various industries. Ørsted sponsored event giveaways in the form of lanyards and water bottles.
Activities ranged from challenging children to build bridges, record their own TV shows, grade scallop shells, through to learning maths concepts by making model boats.

John Galloway, Ørsted Development Director for the Isle of Man, said: “We’re very proud to support STEMFest 2025. It is one of many similar initiatives we support globally to empower future generations with the skills they will need to pursue careers in the renewable energy sector and supporting industries.”
